Implementing modification usually goes hand in hand with Serial Item Management as well as the Change Management process.

The implementation status of the modification will change to work in progress (WIP) as soon as a modification has a date implemented inserted against one of the affected serial number/s. Once all the serial numbers have a date implemented inserted the implementation status of the modification will change to Completed.

To implement a modification, however, the following prerequisites are required:

• One or more Approved or Expedited change requests (CRs) must be associated to the modification.
• The status of the modification must be changed to Approved.
